I can't thank you all enough for buying my book, Murder: Above Top Secret, and leaving your kind comments and 5-Star ratings! An author lives or dies on reviews, so thank you for such wonderful support and taking your valuable time to comment and review.

I have some questions that readers have asked and I will try to start posting answers to them very soon, so stay tuned. One question that is most prevalent is, " When are you doing a book signing, and where"? Answer: The Bryan Museum trade days and wine in the garden event, November 21st, 2019, from 3 pm - 7 pm. I will be highlighting my father's book, Cathamor, about the Westward wagon train migration. This is based on my father's research of over 20 years and family interviews. It is a great view into the day-to-day struggles of our family as they ventured West. I will also have copies of Murder: Above Top Secret for sale and signing.

I am lining up other appearances so keep watching as I post them. I would love to meet you all, sell you some books, and personalize each copy.

Book sales are moving nicely, and I certainly thank you all for your support, kind reviews, and great comments. I did receive a notice from Amazon to get orders in now for gifts or personal reading, as the holidays are on us and printing and shipping is already starting to get demanding.

Murder: Above Top Secret has generated questions, which was one of the purposes of the book, to raise general awareness of how the underworld can take control and the enemy is not always clear. Also to give the public an inside view of what a detective faces in these type cases. I tried to put you in my boots during that time, so if you feel upset, bewildered, and full of questions, then you have certainly slipped into the feelings of that role.

I'm really looking forward to some book signings so that I can meet some of you and sign your books already purchased online, and talk about the case as well as answer your questions. My first book signing will be at The Bryan Museum November 21st, 2019, ( Time to be announced ) and both books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Keep an eye out on their site for the announcement. I am primarily highlighting my father's book, Cathamor, at this event, keeping with the theme of the Old West that the museum is all about. A good time to pick up Christmas gifts!

Murder: Above Top Secret - Release notes and review!

"Murder Above Top Secret" could have only been written by one person and that is J.L.Hodges. He is the only one with the knowledge and willingness to step forward and tell the tale of Donald C. Neil's murder. Neil, a divorced father of one worked for a NASA contracted firm in the late seventies. He had also worked on other top-secret, government programs before his death. Although an odd sort, he by no means deserved his ending. J.L. Hodges was the lead investigator on the case for the Webster, Texas Police Department. The detective soon found out that there were others out there that did not want the truth to be told.

Hodges leads the investigation methodically and in the best manner of experienced detectives but is continually stymied by unknown agencies within the federal government, as well as foreign spies and contract intelligence operators, even to the point of evidence being stolen and the body tampered with. In this current day of governmental overreach coming to light and daily reminders of the lies we have been told, this book is certainly timely, especially given the state of divisiveness this country is experiencing.
Donald Neil deserves justice and has for decades. Read the book and get upset about things done in the name of national secrecy.

Many Men In One, is the title of this man, according to those who know him best. Jim has lived many parallel lives, and invested a half-century in high-risk public service assignments including that of a covert intelligence operator, a highly decorated detective, and a two-time law enforcement officer of the year, licensed law enforcement instructor, licensed professional security instructor, a ground combat veteran of the Vietnam War, Inventor, and personal defense expert.

Parallel to his tactical life, Jim grew up in Texas as a cowboy and horse trainer and owned his own livestock business.
